On the shuttle ride home last night, I had my camera with me so I took some photos. I’d love to take some more on-the-road photos. I love watching the double or triple reflections in the big bus windows.
On this level is where the trolleys used to run. Public transit over the bridge. God I want it back. I want it back. We can’t sustain this.
In a traffic jam the other day with a friend, I complained. I said it was unnatural. Why don’t we value public transit anymore? What are the ways we can bring it back? We kept saying, it must be a baseball game. But does it make sense for everyone to drive into San Francisco, separately, in their cars, to go see a baseball game? To burn up gas for over an hour for a twenty minute drive? Why can’t there be buses, why don’t people get out of their cars and find other ways? MY guess is because the other ways aren’t encouraged. But L and I took a bus from MLK to SF one day, from the street to the street, no BART, and it was great. We took our bikes and then rode over the GG Bridge. I want the trains. I want them all back.
